Every Entrance Handles product comes with a written warranty and a care guide for its finish. Both sit alongside your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Nothing here excludes, replaces or limits those rights.

Warranty

Every warranty runs from the date your order is delivered.

  • All pull handles, in 316 stainless, brass or bronze: 2 years against defects in materials and workmanship, covering the handle and its fixings.
  • Every finish: 1 year. This covers the finish on every handle we supply, whether that is the stainless mill or satin finish, a powder coat, or a polished or brushed brass or bronze finish with its clear or beeswax coating.
  • Smart locks and electric handles: the Keyless Solutions 2-year manufacturer warranty on the mechanism and electronics. Batteries are not covered. Contact us first and we manage the claim for you.

What is not covered

  • Accidental damage, neglect or misuse
  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, marks and discolouration from use or age
  • Incorrect installation, or any modification of the product
  • Not caring for the product as set out in the care guide
  • Patina and colour change on brass and bronze, which are living finishes
  • Tea staining on stainless, which is a maintenance matter and simple to remove
  • Batteries in smart locks and electric handles

The warranty covers the product itself, not the cost of removing or refitting it.

How to make a claim

Email sales@entrancehandles.co.nz with your order number, photos of the fault and a short description of what has happened. Accepted claims are repaired, replaced or refunded. On pull handles we cover the freight both ways.

Care and maintenance

A few minutes of simple cleaning keeps your hardware looking the way it did when it was fitted. Doors near the coast or a busy road need a little more attention.

  • 316 stainless: wash with warm water and a mild detergent, rinse and dry. On a brushed finish, always clean along the grain. To remove tea staining, rub along the grain with a Scotch-Brite pad and CRC. This rejuvenates the finish.
  • Clear-coated brass and bronze, matt or gloss: wipe with a damp cloth, then dry. Do not use metal polish, abrasives or scourers, because they cut through the coat.
  • Beeswax brass and bronze: clean with a soft cloth and a mild detergent, then dry. The patina that develops is the finish, not a fault.
  • Powder-coated finishes: wipe with a soft cloth and a mild detergent, then dry. Do not use metal polish or abrasives.
  • Smart locks: wipe the keypad and body with a soft damp cloth only. No solvents or sprays on the panel. Change the batteries when the app warns you.

Keep bleach, oven, brick and concrete cleaners, paint thinners, steel wool and water blasters away from all hardware.
